The Crescendo Hearing Phone is an assistive technology for people with impaired hearing. Intended for users with moderate hearing loss, it enables the amplification of a broad frequency range.
One of the phone’s key innovations is the integrated ear cone. It eliminates the risk of uncomfortable feedback or electrical interference when used with traditional hearing aids. Formation redesigned the phone’s housing, illuminated keypad, ear cone and detachable base to embody the Siemens corporate identity and fit within their existing line of business telecommunication products.
The Crescendo phone has garnered extremely positive feedback and sales success. Due to its functional performance and non-adaptive appearance it received an American Society on Aging Award for Universal Design in the ASA’s 13th Annual Universal Design Competition.
