The HQd family of electrochemistry meters was designed to provide laboratory accuracy in a durable and highly portable field instrument. The multi-parameter meter supports EPA recommended methods for the field testing of sample pH, luminescent dissolved oxygen, conductivity, oxidation reduction potential and sodium, among others. Designed for harsh environments, HQd meters are used for environmental and industrial hygiene monitoring.
Formation worked closely with Hach’s internal team to develop a true IP68 instrument capable of withstanding harsh treatment such as repeated drops and periodic submersion. The handheld instrument and its accessories were designed to work as a highly integrated product platform. In July 2006 the United States Environmental Protection Agency exclusively recommended the HQd as the preferred meter for measuring dissolved oxygen in water and wastewater.
