Formation Hosts Event for Red Cabin Attendees

Formation Design Group opened our Atlanta studio to attendees of the 2022 Red Cabin Aircraft Cabin Innovation Summit Wednesday, Sept. 14. Conference attendees from around the world enjoyed an evening of food, fun, and lively conversation.

We are grateful for the opportunity to highlight our design and development capabilities through studio tours and immersive VR experiences.

During this event, we unveiled our new Dovetail passenger boarding concept (patent pending). The Dovetail Boarding Lounge is an autonomous vehicle designed to enhance accessibility and facilitate comfortable, expedient boarding and deplaning of passengers from the aft door of commercial aircraft. The autonomous boarding lounge/vehicle safely ferries passengers between the airport gate and aft door of the aircraft using sensors and AI technology to navigate a path across the ramp. Deployment of the Dovetail system requires minimal modification to existing airport gate architecture and doesn't impede ground operations.
